The other day Jennifer was being honored as the Performer of The Year so I decided to go and oh how hindsight is 20/20.
As the event begins Jennifer shows up late, gets out of her car and heads over to the barricade to sign. There are a ton of fans waiting all over the barricade to see her and get an autograph of her and to begin with she starts in the middle of the barricade and cuts off half the people waiting just for her. She then begins to not sign any photos. Skips a guy with photos. Skips a woman with photos. Skips me with photos and at one point swattted the photos away and said we are not real fans. But then the ugliest portion of the night occured. 3 girls who couldn't of been more than 11 or 12 were each holding out one photo of her and she walked up to them and moved the photos away and signed for someone else who was holding out a piece of paper. There is simply no justification of this. There is no way for her to say these are not real fans. This is just a celebrity who has let success go to her head.
Now, to her assertion that real fans don't have photos. First off that is absurd. Secondly, the fact that she is a psychic is something I didn't know about her! Shouldn't that be a major story on the front of every magazine and newspaper?! I would love for this ego maniac to make that assertion to me cause my response would be: Damn right I'm not a real fan cause meeting you has made me not want to be. I loved Silver Linings Playbook. I am (or should say was) working on a cast piece for my own collection. I think her performance is Oscar worthy and that she should win the Oscar. Well, now I hope she loses and I am certain she will to Jessica Chastain. Jessica is such a nice sweet person and it is almost mind blowing how sincere she is about it as opposed to Jennifer. Nice people go FAR in Hollywood and are rewarded. The voters will not give an Oscar to her. Mark my words.
This is awful because just a year ago next month, day before the Hunger Games premiere we got her one on one and she signed about 30 photos for us, no problem, very sweet. She was a little more moody at TIFF but still signed photos and everything.
ReplyDeleteI would think u can tell dealers vs fans. Anyone with bigger than 8x 10 would probably be dealers. Anyway she should just personalize them all if she cares about supporting incomes.

ReplyDeleteI was 10 now 43 we were on vacation and went to Old Tuscan where they were filming that show Michael London did after Little House On the Praire. They finished and he was walking toward me and I took one step to him to ask for his autograph and he put his hand in the middle of my chest and pushed me hard enough I lost balance and fell to the ground. Lord help us, my Dad went after him, and there was a scuffle and thought we were going to have to bail my dad out of jail, but I remember I really liked him, but after that I would spit on him if he was on fire. But to treat a child fan that way is completely I cant even find the words....I cried the rest of the day. I remember his manager made us go to the hospital for me to get basically x-rays from head to toe, to make sure I was ok which turned out I wasn't I chipped my elbow, and we just started our annual out west yearly month long vacation and I was in a cast. Us not being the type to sue, they took care of all the bills, and when we got home had to go to therapy and they followed up and took care of that. Kept offering money but we wouldn't take it just wanted them to go away. I never watched a show he was in ever again.
